View of all 3 Corridors
When you look at this map - consider how much extra travel is required for trucks destined for downtown Gatineau, or Highway 5 heading north. The Greenbelt options are surely not green options!
Kettle Island Option 5 goes from the 417/174 interchange, along the Aviation parkway, crossing over to Highway 50 along a reserved transportation corridor.

Two Interprovincial bridge options are located in the eastern edge of the Greenbelt between Beacon Hill and Orleans. Both start from Highway 174, approximately 700 m east of the Rockcliffe Parkway. Both cut through the Greenbelt to the edge of the Ottawa River.
Option 6 cuts across the Greenbelt near Green's Creek, where it reaches Gatineau and causes 79 families to lose their homes to expropriation. That would completely split the community in two.
Option 7 also cuts across the Greenbelt and reaches the river just a few meters west of the Convent Glen community - where it takes a long diagonal cut across the river, landing on the Gatineau side in the protected Baie McLaurin.
